NC Blogger Meet Up Summer 2014

Being new to the blogging community, I jumped at the chance to meet some southern girls at the NC Blogger Meetup hosted by Madison of Wetherills Say I Do and Kathy of Up To Date Interiors. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to them for arranging this! I had a wonderful time meeting some great girls while learning at the same time.

After mingling and having a delicious lunch at The Busy Bee Cafe, guest speaker Linda Mendible talked to us about how she grew her blog and business. Linda talked about how to brand yourself as a blogger and hone in on what you want your readers to get from reading your blog, which is more about you. Blogging is a form of storytelling and readers like the look into your life. One thing I love that she talked about is the importance of quality not quantity. While we all want to have hundreds and thousands of readers and followers, having a smaller group of people who you interact with and are invested in getting to know is more worth while. She noted that the networking and face to face time you spend with your readers will keep them coming back. She is really insightful, I am glad that I met her and had the opportunity to get some great tips! Stop by www.lindamendible.com for more!

Local NC vendors were also so kind to contribute to these AMAZING Swag Bags that each blogger took home. Here's the rundown:

Whatever is Lovely Print from Morgan Alexandra Designs
Lighthouse Line Drawing from Essential Lines by Erin
Eleanor Roosevelt Print on Kraft from Hardin Studios
Greeting Card from SaraDoes
NC Vinyl from Carolina Charm Wreaths
$15 Gift Certificate to Laureling Studios
Organic Chapstick from Mindful Skin Therapy
Wine Cork Keychain from Queen B's Busy Work

Head over to the NC Blogger Meetup 2014 Link Up for a chance to win a Swag Bag!

    1. I am part of a group called Southern Girl Blogging Community-https://www.facebook.com/southerngirlsblogcommunity. You should join if you haven't already since you are in FL! But two members organized it just for NC, so you can see if anyone else in FL would be interested or have organized something similar.
